As a writer I am committed to recognizing and valuing the important contributions made by queer communities of color both within and outside of the production and consumption of media, information, and culture. My work examines the ways that we can counter the platforms, algorithms, and systems that seek to devalue the contributions of intersectionally marginalized communities.

EDUCATE

As an educator, I believe that encouraging students to draw on while expanding their knowledge is the greatest benefit of teaching. Through courses, presentations, lectures, and speaking engagements, I guide lifelong learners in developing more than a superficial knowledge of media and technology that can be used to imagine and create the world of tomorrow.

CREATE.

As a creative and cultural critic, I focus on art, activism, and analysis which exposes the relationship between the public and private curation of information and data. Therefore, my creative projects engage with the themes of personal and communal healing, care, and stewardship through the creation of work that models more ethical and social justice oriented uses of digital tools and technology..
